EDC were invited to present at 12th European Roundtable on Sustainable Consumption and Production (erscp2008) 23-25th September 2008 hosted by the 5th BMBF Forum for Sustainability: Research for Sustainability - Driver for Innovation, Berlin, Germany.
These two multi-stakeholder conferences ran in parallel and brought together delegates from Europe, USA, Canada, India, South America, China and Japan to share knowledge and experiences in sustainability research and in tackling the SCP agenda.
EDC delivered a presentation on our experiences of building capacity for ecodesign in Welsh industry in the ‘Sustainable Production and Resource Efficiency’ session titled ‘Exchange of experiences in the field of resource efficiency in Small and Medium sized Enterprises (SMEs)’.
While the presentation set the context of the our recent demonstration work with G24i, Global Laser, Knobbly Carrot and Orangebox emphasis was placed on the concept of building capacity and ecodesign as good design and good business practice. Orangebox was presented as a short case study.
