EDC Response to Consultations

EDC regularly responds to joined-up, coordinated consultations at a national and international level. EDC looks for exchanging fresh, innovative and practical ideas through these dialogues as they will contribute towards collective and well-inform decision-making processes in relevant areas.

 

Design as a driver of user-centred innovation. European Commission-Enterprise and Industry. Submitted by EDC on June 2009.
The consultation aims to find out whether more should be done for making design an integral part of European innovation policy. The questions for the consultation are based on the Commission staff working document on Design as a driver of user-centred innovation.

Green Jobs for Wales: Consultation Document. Welsh Assembly Government. Issued on November 2008. Submitted by EDC on February 2009.

The Green Jobs Strategy is a key element within the One Wales Programme for Government. It forms part of a broader range of measures designed to create a sustainable economy built on the foundations of sustainable businesses, sustainable technologies and sustainable employment.

Climate Change Strategy, High Level Policy Consultation. Welsh Assembly Government. Issued on January 2009. Submitted by EDC on February 2009.
The consultation explains the Welsh Assembly Government’s policy on climate change and expands on the One Wales commitments. It also recognises the new statutory framework established by the Climate Change Act 2008.

Sustainability appraisal of the review of the Wales Waste Strategy

As part of the review of the Wales Waste Strategy, a sustainability appraisal (SEA/SA) was undertaken to inform the review and the drafting of the strategy.
